Creator: Andrew Hanson
1. Positioning
During my internship, I identified a need to streamline presentation creation for AEC industry workers. With my skills in graphic design, web design, and UI/UX, and proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft suites, I designed a PowerPoint template with client-branded master pages. This project demonstrates my ability to create user-friendly design solutions and apply branding effectively.
2. The Brief
The goal was to create a PowerPoint template for AEC industry workers that:
Applies master page styles and branding.
Is user-friendly for those not well-versed in technology.
Automates formatting, allowing users to focus on content.
3. The Process
The design process involved several stages:
Needs Assessment: I recognized that AEC industry workers often need to create presentations but may lack advanced PowerPoint skills. I aimed to simplify the process for them.
Template Design: I designed a PowerPoint template with client-branded master pages, ensuring consistent formatting and branding.
Usability Focus: I made the template user-friendly, so that users only need to input text, with formatting applied automatically.
4. The Solution
The solution was a PowerPoint template with the following key features:
Client-branded master pages for consistent design.
Automated formatting to simplify the presentation creation process.
User-friendly design for AEC industry workers with varying levels of technological expertise.
